The XXV congress of the International Primatological Society was held in Hanoi, Vietnam from august 12 to 16. Lucia presented at a symposium called “GIBBON CONSERVATION 1: THE IMPACT OF HUMAN ACTIVITIES ON GIBBON CONSERVATION” chaired by Helen Chatterjee and Matt Nowak. The symposium explored current research into the factors affecting gibbon populations, focusing on the impacts of human activities. In addition, key researchers in the field discussed strategies for managing anthropogenic and other impacts and how such strategies can be embedded into conservation action plans.
